Together, the companies are able to offer consistent end-to-end processes and seamless automation.
Passau, March 26, 2020. IT and consulting company msg and ADAC subsidiary GKS (a communication services company) will be cooperating on automation projects in the field of “Business Process Outsourcing” (BPO), effective immediately. The cooperation will focus on support processes that companies outsource to external service providers. Goal of the partnership is to offer companies the full automation of their central input management processes, from a single source, and thus further support them in their digital transformation. Representatives from the two companies signed the partnership agreement at msg’s location in Passau at the end of February.

msg.SIMA merges with Communication Services
The msg group will bring its msg Smart Input Management (msg.SIMA) service portfolio to the partnership. The software-assisted components of msg.SIMA can classify documents received through a wide variety of input channels; identify relevant, industry-specific data; and digitize the technical data found in the documents. Information obtained in this way enables the automated processing of industry-specific transactions.
Thanks to the new cooperation with communication and IT service provider GKS, individual input formats can now be manually digitized as well, and any missing information added in systems. To that end, GKS will provide different services as part of the partnership, including scanning services, transferring call center inquiries to the system and performing manual follow-up work on information necessary for the automation.
A Product Portfolio Based on a Modular Principle
The entire product portfolio is designed around a modular principle and allows customers to put together their own individual set of services and benefits. Service providers will thus primarily focus on msg’s core industries, meaning companies in the primary insurance, reinsurance and health insurance industries. However, there are plans to make further industry-specific additions to the software in the future.
“We are pleased to have found a reliable, competent partner in GKS, one that enhances our software portfolio with BPO services. It means our customers can rest assured that their processes will be 100 percent automated,” explains Stephan Aigner, Head of msg’s Product & Development business unit in Passau. The unit has been developing msg.SIMA since 2017. Dr. Armin Bender, the site manager in Passau, was the one to first pursue contact with the GKS service company, which is also located in Passau.
“The demand for automated standard processes will only grow going forward,” says Dr. Norbert Grebe, who joins Kornelia Stury as Managing Director of GKS. “By combining smart software and outsourced manual sub-processes, we are now able to better meet our customers’ demand for a full range of services.”
